Katsina- No fewer than 57 aspirants in Katsina state on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), are contesting the party’s primaries to select candidates for the 2015 National Assembly election.
The aspirants among them three women have indicated interest to contest election into the House of Representatives in the 15 Federal Constituencies in Katsina State.
Alhaji Abubakar Garba the party’s administrative secretary made the disclosure on Sunday in Katsina while addressing newsmen.
He said the women are: Hajia Rahanatu Sani from Mashi-Dutsi constituency, Hajiya Mairo Musa from Jibia-Kaita constituency and Hajiya Binta Muhammad from Dutsin-ma-Kurfi constituency.
A correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) who monitored the conduct of the primaries in some of the constituencies, report that they were hitch-free with security men at all the venues visited. (NAN)
