LAGOS – Fifty-eight ships laden with various commodities would berth at the seaports in Lagos between Tuesday and Dec. 5, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said.
In its daily “Shipping Position’’ made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Lagos, NPA said that 21 of the ships were laden with containers and would be received at the APM Terminals.
According to it, 13 other ships will come in with food items while 12 ships will convey general cargo into the ports.
It stated that two of the vessels had used vehicles as consignments while10 ships would bring in petroleum products “like petrol, kerosene, aviation fuel, diesel, bulk gas, and bulk coal”.
It added that 11 ships with kerosene, diesel, petrol and base oil as consignments had earlier berthed at the ports.
Six other vessels, it added, had also arrived at the ports with rice, wheat and containers. (NAN)
