ABUJA – The COVID-19 situation in Kano State took a dangerous dimension on Friday as the state for the second day topped Lagos, the epicentre of the pandemic in Nigeria.
Out of the 238 new cases announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Kano recorded 92 new cases with Lagos recording 30 new cases, lower than FCT that recorded 36 new cases.
It was also a harvest of deaths as 10 more COVID-19 patients died to bring the total number of victims so far to 68. The number of official deaths from the pandemic was 58 on Thursday.
