Lagos – Nine ships laden with various products including petrol, are waiting to berth at the Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Wednesday.
The NPA made the disclosure in its daily “Shipping Position” made available in Lagos, saying that two of ships were carrying petrol.
According to NPA, seven ships would berth with bulk fertiliser, base oil, crude palmolein and bulk maize.
NPA said that 31 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports between Aug. 23 and Sept.16.
“The ships are carrying buck wheat, containers, general cargoes, base oil, bulk fertiliser, empty container, bulk corn, bulk sugar, frozen fish, crude palmolein, steel products and petrol,’’ it said.
The shipping position also said that 22 other ships were currently at the ports discharging general cargoes, soya beans, bulk gypsum, empty container, frozen fish, buck wheat, bulk fertiliser, bulk corn, diesel, petrol and containers. (NAN)
