Katsina – The Golden Eaglets’ Chief Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, has assured Nigerians that the team is going to Chile for the U-17 FIFA tournament to defend the trophy.
Amuneke said this on Friday in Katsina in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The nation’s junior soccer team is currently camping in Katsina, to prepare for the defence of the trophy they won in 2013 in the United Arab Emirate.

‘’You don’t tell others your strategies in football, but we are in Katsina working hard and assessing our players.
‘’We are the defending champions. I want to assure Nigerians that we are going to Chile with the objective of defending the trophy,’’ he said.
He said he was confident that his players would perform very well during the tournament.
‘’As a coach I believe in my team and I believe in my players.
“We will continue to play matches with teams so as to know the areas we need to work hard on,’’ he said.
