Dutse – The Jigawa Commissioner of Police, Mr Usman Tilli, has sued for peace among farmers and Fulani herdsmen in the state.
Tilli made the appeal during an interactive session with stakeholders at the State Police Command Headquarters in Dutse on Thursday.
He said that famers and cattle breeders were partners in progress and enjoined them to live peacefully with one another.
The commissioner advised them not to take the laws into their hands, but urged them to report their grievances to appropriate authorities for amicable resolution.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
“Farmers and Fulani herdsmen are brothers’ keeper; they need each other to co-exist,“ Tilli stressed.
He warned that the police would not spare any one that foments trouble in the state. (NAN)
