Madrid – The United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has said that International tourist arrivals grew by 4.4 per cent in 2015 to 1.18 billion worldwide, in spite of security concerns.
In a statement issued on Monday in Madrid, UNWTO said that 2015 was the sixth in a row of above-average growth in international tourist arrivals.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
According to Taleb Rifai, UNWTO y Secretar General, terrorist attacks in tourist areas have short-term effects on international travels.
He said that the organization was expecting international tourist travel to grow by about 4 per cent in 2016.(dpa/NAN)
