LOKOJA – The management of Kogi United FC of Lokoja has appointed Abdul Biffo, as the new head coach of the team.A statement signed by the chairman of the club, Abdul Adama on Thursday in Lokoja, said Biffo replaced Fatai Osho.
Adama said that Biffo’s appointment had been ratified by the Nigeria National League (NNL) Board.
He said that Osho, who had been on an indefinite suspension, had his contract finally terminated on April 30.
According to the chairman, the appointment of Biffo, formerly of Giwa FC, took effect from May 1.
He said that Biffo would work with other members of the technical crew to enhance the performance of the Wada Boys in the ongoing NNL season.
Adama thanked Osho for his service to the club and wished him good luck in his future endeavours.
Meanwhile, Kogi United will play TEAP FC of Abuja in the first match of the second stanza of the 2014 NNL onMay 24.
Kogi United lost 0-1 to TEAP FC in their last match of the first stanza of the NNL season.
The team is currently in the ninth position of Division A of the NNL.
It had 22 points from 15 matches, with seven wins, seven losses and one draw at the end of the first stanza of the season.(NAN)
