Berlin – German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, is set to hold talks on refugee crisis with her Turkish counterpart Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Merkel’s spokesman, Steffen Seibert said on Friday, that the leaders decided in early February at the Syrian aid conference to meet on Monday to discuss the implementation of a multilateral plan to crack down on smuggling networks and curb migration.
Merkel wants to resist unilateral measures demanded by members of her coalition, including stricter border controls and an upper limit on the number of new arrivals.
