One of the cleaners, Jaiyeola Karimu, who spoke to NAN, said that she and her colleagues volunteered to clean up the highway.
Karimu, an aged woman, said she came voluntarily to clean the streets with her colleagues who pleaded anonymity, adding that this was their only way to contribute to the development of the competition.
NAN reports that the Nigeria Police patrol vehicles are still at different locations in order to ensure peace within the metropolis. (NAN)
