Umar made the disclosure on Wednesday in Sokoto during the distribution ceremony of the seats to the 23 local government areas of the state.
He, however, directed the Hajj Registration Officers in the state to ensure the payment of 50 per cent of its cumulative Hajj seats by May 5 to the Commission.
He warned the registration officers against selling the seats to people who were not fit to perform the religious rite such as the elderly, children and
pregnant women.
He said that the state government was committed to ensuring the conduct of a successful Hajj, noting that priority attention would be given to first timers.
He further warned that any act of sabotage by any state or local government official would be duly reprimanded. (NAN)
