Dutse – Private guards operating in Jigawa are to be exposed to modern approach to intelligence/ information gathering, surveillance and maintenance of interpersonal relationship.
Spokesman for the Jigawa command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr Adamu Abdullahi, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Dutse Tuesday.
Pursuant to this, Abdullahi said the command had commenced the training of 100 private guards, adding that the training, which began on March 21, would last for two weeks.
Abdullahi said the participants were drawn from the three Private Guards Companies (PGCs) – Halogen Security, Kings Guards and Prudential Security – operating in the state.
He explained that 40 participants were drawn from Kings Guards while 30 each were selected from Halogen and Prudential securities.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
“The guards would be exposed to modern approach to intelligence/information gathering, surveillance and how to maintain interpersonal relationship and with members of the public.’’
According to him, the training is part of NSCDC’s capacity building programme to enhance the activities of the PGCs operating in the state.
He noted that the command had the responsibility to ensure that PGC personnel were given adequate training by the NSCDC. (NAN)
