ABUJA – Skeletal activities resumed at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja on Thursday barely 24 hours after fire gutted it.
Aminu Maigari, Chairman of NFF, and the scribe, Musa Amadu, reported for duty but operated from the office of Sunday Okai, Head of NFF Referees Unit.
Fire destroyed documents in the Secretary-General’s office on Wednesday.
Staff members, especially those in the Competition Department, led by Mohammed Sanusi, were also in office.

Officials of the Federal Fire Service were also at the NFF secretariat to carry out impact assessment on the building.
Ime Eyo, the Operational Commander of the service, told NAN that their report would be sent to the appropriate authority.
“What we are doing today is a pre-concept inspection; we will report to the authority when we are through with our job’’, Eyo said.
The NFF moved into the building in 1997 and that this is the first time fire will gut the football secretariat. (NAN)
