ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the Lagos-based Lawyer and human rights activist, Ebun – Olu Adegboruwa, over alleged fraudulent property deal.
Also arrested on Tuesday by the commission, is the Executive Director (Public Sector), First Bank of Nigerian Plc, Dauda Lawal.
“The EFCC has allegedly arrested Dauda Lawal, who is the Executive Director (ED) for Public Sector of First Bank over $55m Deziani funds, also the Lagos Lawyer, Ebun Olu Adegoruwa,” a source said
Adegboruwa, who was said to have been arrested over a the deal, which was settled two years ago, is the lawyer representating the ex-Niger Delta warlord, Government Ekpobolokemi known as Tompolo as well as former President Goodluck Jonathan’s cousin, Robert Azibaola, who have been held for months by the EFCC.
He is also one of leading critics of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
