Arsene Wenger insists Olivier Giroud is improving every season he is at Arsenal and believes he could score 25 goals this term.
The France international came off the bench to bag a late equaliser against Everton on Saturday, with the Gunners fighting back from 2-0 down at Goodison Park to draw 2-2.
And Wenger has now lavished praise on the striker, claiming he can beat his tally of 16 goals from last season.
“He scored 16 [in the Premier League last year] and he’s very convincing,” Wenger told the club’s official website.

“You never have to set any limitations for any player. For me, he’s improving every year and don’t rule it out that he scores 25.”
Wenger also insists he has no inclination to buy a marquee striker in the summer transfer window, having already spent €40 million on forward Alexis Sanchez.
“We have [Yaya] Sanogo who will be an important asset, we have Giroud, we have Lukas Podolski, we have Joel Campbell who can play centre forward,” he added.
“We have Alexis and [Theo] Walcott coming back. Let’s not forget that.
“All of our opponents look for strikers as well and nobody finds a world-class striker available who is better than the strikers you have.”
Arsenal face Besiktas in the second leg of their Champions League play-off on Wednesday, with the tie evenly poised at 0-0. (goal.com)[eap_ad_3]
