Birnin Kebbi – The Assistant Inspector General of Police(AIG) in charge of zone 3, Lawal Tanko, has assured the 5,800 applicants into the Nigerian Police Force from Kebbi of transparency and fairness.
Tanko told newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday that he was assigned to supervise the recruitment from his base in zone 3 in the
North East to Kebbi.
He, however, emphasised that only the best among the applicants would qualify for the final stage and assured them of level playing ground.
He added that “I am to ensure transparency in the recruitment.”
He explained that 5,800 applicants registered from Kebbi, stressing that 10 applicants would be selected from each of the 21 local government areas of the state before the final selection.
He said “the Nigeria Police headquarters has issued criteria for the exercise in categories based on ranks and on equal basis to ensure fair representation.”
He commended Alhaji Dalhatu Garbi, the Chairman of the Police Recruitment Presidential Team for Kebbi for his efforts toward an orderly exercise. (NAN)
