The affected oil pipelines were those belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Chevron Oil and the Nigeria Petroleum Development Corporation major crude trunk line close to Batan flow station in Delta State.
Also, the militants claimed that the NNPC crude oil trunk line blown up was the one that supplies the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company.

Prompt News Online reports that the Niger Delta Avengers have been blowing up oil installations in a bid to compel Nigerian Government to address their demands which includes self-determination.
Determined to pave way for dialogue, the Federal Government recently directed withdrawal of military personnel from the Niger Delta region.
Also last week, President Muhammadu Buhari, appealed to the Avengers to “In the name of God” halt attacks on oil installations
