Abuja – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says it will partner with individuals and organisations that will help to promote the growth of the corps.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Corps spokesperson, Mr Emmanuel Okeh, on Thursday in Abuja.
The statement said that the Acting Deputy Commandant-General of the Corps in charge of administration, Mr Jacob Oladapo, made the declaration when the representatives of Nigeria Association of Auctioneers (NAA), Abuja chapter, visited him.
Oladapo represented the Commandant-General of the corps, Abdullahi Muhammadu, during the event at the Corps’ headquarters, Abuja.
He said the corps had experienced tremendous transformation since it was signed into Law as a full fledged Federal Government Establishment by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
He said that the corps had also received support from President Muhammadu Buhari in terms of provision of logistics to meet up with current challenges in tackling insurgency and other security problems.
Alhaji Musa Kurah who led the delegation of the NAA, congratulated Muhammadu on his appointment as the Commandant-General of the Corps and commended the Corps for its enormous role of protection of lives and property. (NAN)
