Abuja – The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has cautioned the general public and motorists plying the Oke Oka road in Ondo State, on a diversion due to ongoing repairs of the road.
In a statement signed by Mr Bisi Kazeem, Head, Media and Strategy, on Monday in Abuja,the commission advised motorists to seek alternative route.
“This is to inform the general public and motorists that as a result of an immediate ongoing repairs of the Akungba-Iwaro-Oka-Isua road linking Abuja / Lagos, motorists from Lagos are advised to ply the following alternative routes:
“A, From Lagos through Owo–Ipele–Idoani–Isua.
“B, From Lagos, Owo – Akungba-Ikare-Ajowa-Ayere through Kabba.
“And C, Lagos – Owo-Akungba-Ikare – Iboropa -Ise –Akunnu to Kabba.
Kazeem said that likewise, those coming from Abuja are to follow Abuja -Isua -Idoani- Ipele -Owo to Akure.
He said that they could also go from Abuja to — Isua—Ise –Iboropa –Ikare to Owo.
He said that the repair was being carried out at Oke Oka bad portion of the road that would take two days to effect.
The FRSC spokesman said the personnel of the commission were on ground to assist in traffic control.
