SOKOTO – Gov. Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State on Monday expressed confidence on the ability of the All progressives Congress (APC) to provide good democratic governance in the country.
Wamakko said while addressing party supporters during the APC’s zonal meeting in Sokoto that the party would address the yearnings and aspirations of the people by implementing people-oriented policies.
He said the party would address insecurity, poverty, education and unemployment among the youth in the country. [eap_ad_1] He said that the large turnout of supporters at the rallu indicated that the country needed political transformation.
Wamakko also called on party supporters not to engage in anything capable of causing confusion in the country.
Gov. Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara had earlier said the party remained the only alternative to the electorate.
Gov. Adams Oshomole of Edo said that Nigerians had no reason to live in poverty because the country had all the potentials needed to ensure its political growth. (NAN)
