The authorities of the University of Jos has released the list of admitted students into four courses that were recently re-accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
A statement signed by the Principal Assistant Registrar, Information and Publications Abdullahi Abdullahi, and made available to Sundiata Post said that the results could not be released along with others because of accreditation problem.
The statement entitled
“RELEASE OF ADMISSION LIST INTO FOUR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES,’ said, “The University of Jos wishes to inform members of the public that the Admission List for the Four Undergraduate Programmes that could not be released alongside other Programmes in the University for the 2016/2017 Academic Session, have now been released.
“The Programmes are Biochemistry, Science Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, History and International Studies, which were earlier denied accreditation, hence the delay in the release of the list of admitted candidates.”
The statement added, “Following the granting of accreditation to the Four Programmes as approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC), the Undergraduate admission process into the Programmes are now being concluded.
“Consequently, all Candidates who applied for admission into these Programmes in the 2016/2017 Academic Session, are hereby advised to check the their admission status via the University web address https://mis.unijos.edu.ng/ug/ portal/admissions
“Successful Candidates are to commence the registration process immediately using only approved channels as contained on the University website.”
