ABUJA – The police on Thursday arraigned a farmer and two security guards in an FCT Area Court, Lugbe, for stealing geepee tanks valued at N70,000 each.
The accused Mangar Manu, 45, Aminu Ado, 40, and Saidu Abdullahi, 39, residents of Jedo Housing Estate, Abuja, were arraigned on a two-count charge of joint act and theft. [eap_ad_1] Prosecutor Iliuya Maji told the court that Manu was arrested while rolling away the tanks on Sept 9 along with the two other suspects.
Maji said the offence contravened Sections 79 and 287 of the Penal Code.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Senior Judge, Gambo Garbo, granted bail to the accused in the like sum of N50,000 each with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case till Sept. 24, for hearing. (NAN)
