Amawbia – The Police Commissioner in Anambra, Mr Sam Okaula, has called for synergy among security agencies in the country to overcome the nations’security challenges.
Okaula told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Tuesday that synergy among sister security agencies in Anambra was the secret behind the success recorded in the state security sector and therefore advocated same approach nationwide.
The commissioner said that the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano, had helped by taking measures that aided security agents in maintaining peace.
He described the out-gone year (2016) as crime-free in the state and assured the residents that the command would not relent in its efforts to maintain peace and security.
Okaula therefore urged the people of the state to support the security initiative of the state government and security agencies by divulging giving useful information to the police and other appropriate authorities.
He urged religious and community leaders to contribute their quota towards ensuring security of lives and property in their localities.
