Lawmaker Raises Alarm Over Activities Of ‘Cabal’ In Adamawa State University

Yola –  Hon. Abdurahaman Isa,  lawmaker in the Adamawa  House of Assembly, has urged the state government to dismantle a ‘cabal’ that had retarded the progress of Adamawa State University, Mubi (ADSU).

In an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola on Thursday, Isa, an APC member representing Mubi North in the House, observed that some individuals had been working against the interest of the institution
He noted that their activities had almost crumbled the university, urging the state government to cleanse the rot.

He commended Gov. Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa for not allowing himself to be used by the cabal as had been the case in the past.
“The situation in the Adamawa state university should be a matter of concern to every son and daughter of the state.

“It is baffling that ADSU, which was a model for other state universities in the past, is backward today.

“We the people of Mubi will continue to support Gov. Bindow to clean the rot in the university and to ensure that the criminals face the wrath of the law,” Isa said.

The lawmaker said he had absolute confidence in the current Vice Chancellor of the institution, Dr Moses Zaruwa, saying that his  few days in office had exposed a lot of rots in the university.
