Abuja (Sundiata Post) – National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has recorded a breakthrough in the whistle-lowing policy introduced by the Federal Government aimed at exposing corrupt practices and corrupt public officials.
NANS said it has identified multi-million naira assets of some Vice Chancellors, including those acquired through proxies, family members and siblings.
In a statement made available to sundiataPost on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, the association said “We are happy to announce to Nigerians that we have made some remarkable advancement in our determination to align with anti-graft agencies in the fight against official corruption in the country, especially in the nation’s higher institutions.
Comrade Chinonso Obasi-led NANS had on January 22, 2017 addressed a press conference where he expressed the associations resolve to take advantage of the whistle –blowing window provided by the Federal Government to join the fight against the cancer of corruption.
The Comrade who later mobilized the state chapters of NANS throughout the country to join in the fight against corruption by exposing all corrupt officials in the higher institution, wishes to “inform Nigerians that we have been able to identify multi-million naira assets of some Vice Chancellors, including those acquired through proxies, family members and siblings’’. The statement added.
