Lagos – Seven ships laden with various products, including petrol, were at Lagos ports waiting to berth, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Thursday.
The NPA disclosed in its daily “Shipping Position” made available in Lagos that three of the vessels had petrol consignment.
It said four other ships would berth with bulk fertiliser, buck wheat and ethanol.
It added that 32 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports between Thursday and July 18.
“The expected ships are carrying buck wheat, containers, general cargoes, lubrication oil, bulk fertiliser, bulk corn, steel products, bulk sugar, frozen fish, container, crude palmolein and petrol,’’ it said.
It also said that 21 other ships were currently at the ports discharging general cargoes, bulk wheat, frozen fish, diesel, bulk fertiliser, Brazilian cane, bulk charcoal, bulk corn, bulk gas, petrol and container. (NAN)
