President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday met behind closed doors with security chiefs. The meeting, held at the President’s office, was also attended by Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo, National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki and some other members of Jonathan’s cabinet. Although none of the attendees spoke to journalists after the meeting, it was gathered that the meeting was aimed at reviewing the security situation in the country.

The Defence Headquarters had claimed to have killed the sect leader at Kodunga, Borno State. (Daily Trust)
