LAGOS- The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Lagos Chapter, on Thursday called on media professionals to always make out time to exercise their bodies. The Chairman, Mr Fred Edoreh, gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency in Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos during a tug-of-war competition for media houses in Lagos. He commended the organisers of the event for staging the competition, saying that it provided participants the opportunity to keep fit and foster friendship among one another.
“It’s always important for people to develop platforms to come together; you to get to know each other, you enhance and foster friendship and communication. “And, it is also important that we exercise because whatever we are doing there should be some element of recreation, it reduces stress and all that.

Edoreh told NAN that the sponsors of the competition agreed to partner with SWAN in other activities. The two-day event, which commenced on July 17 with five media houses participating, will end on July 18 at the National Stadium, Lagos.
Meanwhile, the team A and B of NAN qualified for the final round of the competition which will hold on July 18. (NAN)
