Music gives peace to the soul, says upcoming Nigerian musician, Cheso

ABUJA – An upcoming Nigerian musician, Owajicheso Ogbulujah popularly known as “Cheso’’, said on Friday that music could positively affect people’s live, if the right ones were listened to.

Ogbulujah told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja ahead of his album, at a listening party, that music should be listened to at the right time for the desired result to be achieved.

“It is possible for music artists in Nigeria to succeed and this has happened many times in the country; you just need the right song at the right time,” he said.

According to Ogbulujah, “music gives peace to my soul and I cannot do without it; if you don’t like music, it’s the same thing as saying that you don’t eat food. [eap_ad_2] “This is why I write song at any given opportunity’’.

He commended Nigerian musicians like 2face, pointing out that their musical lyrics had projected Nigeria to the outside world.

The Port Harcourt-based budding musician expressed optimism that his song would make waves in the shortest possible time.

“In spite of my first degree in architecture in Ghana and a sound engineering background in Los Angeles, I still felt empty.

“It was when I went into music that I found satisfaction and peace with myself.

“I like to hear people say that I touched their lives with my music and I heard this often times; that is why music is powerful,’’ he added.

Ogbulujah, who had written songs titled “come my way’’ and “take a stand’’, said his vision was to promote love, peace and unity through music. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
