Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Comrade Senator Shehu Sani has advised President Buhari-led federal government not to focus his fight against corruption to only members of opposition PDP but to extend it to All Progressives Congress and even to the cabal.
The Senator representing Kaduna Central District, who made the call on his twitter handle @ShehuSani said, “FG looters call up list must not be limited to players from Umbrella United but also Broomers FC,’Paris Saint Germain and Dynamo cabal Fc
Sundiata Post recalls that it was Senator Shehu Sani who accused President Buhari of using insecticides to fight corruption in the legislature and judiciary, but uses deodorant when it comes to the executive.
According to him, “When it comes to fighting corruption in the National Assembly and the Judiciary and in the larger Nigerian sectors, the President uses insecticide, but when it comes to fighting corruption within the Presidency, they use deodorants.”
Sani made the accusation in his response to a letter from the President to the red chamber, dismissing the report by his committee which indicted the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, for corruption.
Buhari had in the letter accused Shehu Sani’s committee of failing to give the SGF fair hearing, stressing that the Senate report was signed by only three out of the nine committee members.
But Sani said Buhari’s letter was based on “misinformation and outright distortions”, declaring that he stood by the committee’s report.
Sundiata Post further recalls that it took the OsborneGate saga for President Buhari to suspend the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal along with the Director General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke.
President Buhari on Aril 19, 2017 set up a three-man presidential committee comprising of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, as Chairman, Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami and National Security Adviser, Rtd Major General Babagana Munguno as members.
The committee has long submitted its report but President Buhari has neither acted on the report nor makes the recommendation public.
