Foundation donate drugs to Murtala Hospital, Kano

Kano –   The Maajin Watari Foundation in Kano State has donated drugs worth thousands of Naira to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital in Kano.
Delivering the items to the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Kabiru Getso, on Thursday, the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the foundation, Alhaji Abba Ahmed, said this was the second support made to the hospital by the group.
The chairman, who is also the District Head of Kabo Local Government Area, said the foundation was set up about 15 years ago to encourage the girl-child access to science education.
He revealed that the foundation has supported the health sector in many ways to boost access to quality healthcare services as well as science education.
The traditional ruler pledged that the foundation would continue to identify areas of intervention in order to fulfil its corporate responsibility.
Receiving the drugs, Getso assured that the medicines would reach the targeted beneficiaries.
The commissioner lauded the efforts of the foundation, urging other individuals and organisations to emulate the gesture.
NAN reports that the foundation has donated anti-malaria drugs, folic acid as well as other drugs worth millions of Naira to the Kano State Government previously. (NAN)
