KANO – The Kano State Government has approved N30 million for the construction of 30-room hostel at Katsina State University.
Kano State Commissioner for Information, Dr Damburam Nuhu, announced this when he briefed newsmen on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting in Kano on Wednesday.
He said the council also approved N116 million for the payment of school fees for the 388 Kano State indigenes studying in the university.
He said: “the council also approved over N380 million for the construction of Jaba-Rimin-Kebe road in Nasarawa Local Government Area.
“The council approved over N71 million to convert KASCO Training School into boys Secondary School in Rurun, Rano Local Government.’’
The commissioner said the council approved N44 million for the provision of motor cycles on loan to field extension workers in the state.
He reiterated the determination of the government to develop infrastructure in the state in its efforts to improve the welfare of the people. (NAN)
