ABUJA (SundiataPost) – The Special Adviser to the President on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Professor Sylvester Monye, has resigned his appointment.
Monye was at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat, to pick the form expressing his interest to run for the governorship elections of Delta State.
The former presidential aide, who is from Onicha-Ugbo, Aniocha North, had kept mute about his ambition though he did resign alongside the ministers on Monday during the week, he only confirmed to newsmen on Friday.
Monye, who said he had paid for his form and would be picking it on Monday as advised by the PDP Secretariat, said he was set to offer his services to the people of Delta State.
President Goodluck Jonathan through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, in a letter accepting Nwoye’s resignation on October 20th, while thanking him for the services rendered to the nation, wished him “God’s guidance and best of luck” in his future endeavours.
