LAGOS – The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Friday assured visitors to the ongoing 28th edition of the Lagos International Trade Fair of good sanitation through the 10-day period of the fair
Mr Tope Oluwaleye, Public Relations Manager, LCCI, gave the assurance at the opening of the fair at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos.
Oluwaleye said that there were 25 mobile toilets available to visitors and exhibitors.
He told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the mobile toilets were positioned at the cricket pitch of the exhibition arena.
He added that in addition to the mobile toilets, there were also about 60 units of permanent toilets at the main bowl.
He said that participants, including exhibitors, were expected to utilise the facilities at no cost.
He also said that officers from the Nigerian Police, Nigerian Army and other private security firms were on ground to ensure the security of lives and property.
NAN reports that a private cleaning firm had been contracted to ensure the cleanliness of the exhibition arena throughout the duration of the trade fair.
Officers from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) were also on ground to ensure free flow of vehicular traffic in and out of the TBS, venue of the trade fair.
The Lagos International Trade fair is an annual product exhibition organised by LCCI.
The fair, which started on Nov. 7, will end on Nov. 16. (NAN)
