ZARIA – Rep. Abbas Tajuddeen of All progressive Congress (APC) has constructed and inaugurated a 14 bed-space community health and ICT centres worth about N75 million in Zaria Local Government, Kaduna State.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony at Kwarbai Ward in Zaria on Sunday, the lawmaker said the projects were meant to fulfill his campaign promises.
Tajudden, who represents Zaria Federal Constituency, said the health facility was initiated and executed to address community health problems in kwarbai and its neighbouring wards.
He said nine health workers had been employed to render health services at the hospital.
The lawmaker also inaugurated an ICT centre at Rimin-Doko in Kaura Ward and attended formal graduation ceremony of students on skills acquisition at Tudun-Wada.
NAN reports that Tajuddeen had also laid the foundation stone for the constructions of three blocks of classrooms for Quranic studies at Anguwan Juma Ward.
Tajuddeen said,” I have completed my mission within my tenure, I have executed various projects that touch on the lives of the citizenry in 13 political wards of Zaria Local Government.
“The ICT centre at Nurul Huda in Tudun Wada had, from inception last year, graduated unemployed youths who acquired skills in various fields with a view to cushioning the scourge of unemployment,” he noted.
He stressed the need for electorate to rethink and cast their votes wisely to ensure continuity for more democratic dividends in their respective areas.
Earlier, Rep. Datti Mohammed (APC Sabon-Gari) had lauded the efforts made by the member through meaningful projects execution that had direct bearing to the lives of the citizenry.
According to him, Zaria is blessed with a true democrat who has his people at heart, and called on APC delegates in Zaria Local Government to consider Tajuddeen for another chance in 2015 in view of his laudable achievements.
Responding on behalf of Kaura community, Alhaji Abdullahi VIO thanked the member for what he described a wonderful gesture, and promised to do everything possible to dislodge other parties come 2015.
He said Kaura Ward would not relent at ensuring rain of votes to APC, “because they have always been attending to our needs therefore, we shall continue to support APC at all levels.”
He said the ICT centre was first of its kind in the history of Kaura Ward, assuring that they would do everything possible to take good care of the centre and ensure proper utilisation and safety of the facilities.(NAN)
