LAGOS – Eight ships laden with 268,888 tonnes of petrol have arrived at the Lagos ports, waiting to discharge their contents.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this on Wednesday in Lagos in its daily publication – “Shipping Position,’’ obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
According to the document, five other ships have arrived the ports with diesel, kerosine and base oil.
It stated that seven ships laden with rice, bulk sugar and buck wheat had also arrived the ports.
The publication said that 54 other ships were expected to arrive Lagos ports from Nov. 26 to Dec. 20.
It stated that 27 of the ships would sail in with containers, while 10 others would bring in food items.
The document added that six ships would arrive with petroleum products like base oil, kerosine, diesel and petrol.
It said that nine ships would sail into the ports with general cargo, while two other ships were expected with 1,250 units of vehicles. (NAN)
