OSOGBO – The Chairman of the PDP in Osun State, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, says the party’s ward delegates election held on Wednesday was hitch-free.
Olaoluwa said in a statement on Thursday in Osogbo that party members must, however, refrain from precipitating a crisis in the wake of the poll’s outcome.
He said there was room for aggrieved individuals to present their cases before the party’s appeal panel.
Olaoluwa said the four governorship aspirants of the party had indicated interest to participate in a peaceful primary election.
He admonished party members to conduct themselves peacefully, adding that they should cooperate with the party’s chosen flag bearer.
Olaoluwa also appealed to PDP members in the state to refrain from making inflammatory statements that could cause disaffection within the party.
The four PDP governorship aspirants are Sen. Iyiola Omisore, Sen. Olasunkanmi Akinlabi, Sen. Isiaka Adeleke and Mr Oluwole Oke
The governorship election in Osun had been fixed for Aug. 9. (NAN)
