Lafia- The Nasarawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it would disqualify senatorial aspirants found to be going against the party rules ahead of the primary election slated for Dec. 6.
The party gave the warning in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Mark Neto, on Thursday in Lafia.
According to the statement, the leadership of the party in the state has information that some aspirants in the southern and western senatorial districts have cornered party delegates and taken them into hiding ahead of the primaries.
The party said it would not take it lightly with any aspirant or delegate found wanting in that regards.
” For the avoidance of doubt, anyone who violates this order stands to be disqualified without further notice. This includes both aspirants and delegates,” it stated.
The party, therefore, urged the delegates not to allow themselves to be used, but rather make themselves available and accessible to all aspirants in the spirit of true democracy. (NAN)
