Man, 20, docked for allegedly stealing motorcycle worth N218,000

Ikorodu (Lagos) – A 20-year-old man, Oseni Ibrahim, was on Friday docked in Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, for allegedly conspiring with one other at large to steal a motorcycle worth N218, 000.
Ibrahim, whose address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and felony to wit stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Mary Ajiteru, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Aug.4 at about 6:30 p.m. at Alhaji str; Itunmoja area of Ikorodu.
Ajiteru alleged that the defendant stole unregistered Bajaj motorcycle belonging to the complainant, Mr Jonah Adikwaole.
According to the prosecutor, the offences contravene Section 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mr O.M. Dawodu, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Dawodu adjourned the case until Sept. 5 for mention.
