KANO – The Kano State Government said on Tuesday in Kano that it would give priority to the training and retraining of civil servants to enhance their productivity.
The Head of Service, Dr Umar Minjibir, stated this at the opening of the 3rd induction training for 1, 004 newly employed civil servants in Kano.
“This administration will continue to give priority attention to the training and re-training of its civil servants in line with global best practice.
“All we want to achieve was to ensure that the state civil servants are prepared to face the changing demands in the society,’’ he said.
Minjibir said the primary objective of the workshop was to acquaint the participants with what is expected of them as civil servants.
He said the government had employed more than 7, 000 civil servants and needed to train them on the relevant knowledge and skills.
While congratulating the newly employed workers, Minjibir urged them to be dedicated and loyal to the government. (NAN)
