ABUJA – Some traders on Friday in Abuja commended Bostonbug Media, organisers of the ongoing Boot Motor Fair, for their foresight in putting up the fair to boost business.
One of the traders, Mr David Kim, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the fair provided an opportunity to sale his wares.
Kim, who deals in baby wear, commended Mr Adekunle Adewale, the Head of Operations of Bostonbug Media.
He said that the fair’s planning and management created a business forum for buyers and sellers.
Kim said that the fair had in addition assisted in expanding his business contacts and profit margins.
According to him, the token charges for the fair space enable majority of the traders to offer their goods at moderate prices.
Kim said that they paid only N15, 000 for the car space in the scheduled four days of the fair.
He said, however, that one of the challenges facing the fair was the location, stressing that distance of the fairground was affecting customers, especially those coming from the Nyanya and Mararaba axis.
Mr Michael Mark, the Manager of Amanda Hair Ltd., said that the fair gave him an opportunity to come and showcase his goods and win new customers.
Mark said that the fair provided a commercial window to sale his wares at reduced prices to numerous customers.
He said that he sold Peruvian Hair at N25, 000 as against the earlier price of N35, 000 while Fumy Hair sells for N80, 000 as against N90, 000.
Mark said that one the challenges he faced was that the fair was not given much publicity by the organisers.
Also speaking, Mrs Ngozi Ejike, a customers and a civil servant, thanked the organisers for their effort and for providing opportunity for Christmas shopping.
Ejike said that the nearness of the fairground to the Federal Secretariat, made it possible for most civil servants to benefit from the goods on offer.
NAN also reports that the Abuja boot fair started on Dec. 17 at the Millennium Park. (NAN)
