KEFFI (NASARAWA) – The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has announced the appointment of Alhaji Dauda Idris-Wase as the new coordinator of the agency in Nasarawa State.
Mr Monday Dalyop, the outgoing coordinator of the agency in Nasarawa state, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Keffi on Tuesday.
He said that the appointment of Idris-Wase followed his recent promotion to the rank of director and that he had being transferred to the headquarters in Abuja.
“I am no longer the state coordinator; any moment from now, I will be leaving to my new office in Abuja.
“I have been promoted and transferred to our national headquarter and a new state coordinator has been approved to the state. He is Alhaji Dauda Idris-Wase,’’ he said.
According to Daylop, Idris-Wase will also serve as the vice-chairman and a member of Implementation Committee of the Community Service Women and Youth Employment (CSWYE) project of SURE-P in the state.
NAN reports that until his appointment, Idris-Wase was the head of vocational skills development of the agency in the state.
Daylop expressed his gratitude to the director-general of the agency “for giving me the opportunity to serve as the state coordinator in Nasarawa State”.
“ I am also thanking God for my promotion,” he said.
He assured the director-general of his determination to succeed in his new assignment to meet the goals of the agency.
Daylop also pledged to use his new position to fight poverty, unemployment and youths restiveness in the country.
The former coordinator also commended the media, most especially NAN, for promoting activities of the agency in the state.
“We have been partnering with the media; NAN has been assisting the agency in publicising our activities in the state.
“I want to thank NAN for its efforts in informing the people of the state and Nigeria at large on our activities,’’ Daylop said.
