ABAJI – The Chairman, Abaji Area Council in the FCT, Alhaji Yahaya Gawu, on Wednesday pledged to assist the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to ensure safety on the roads.
Gawu made the pledge in Abaji when Mrs Susan Ajenge, the FRSC FCT Sector Commandant visited the council.
He said that his administration would do “all it takes’’ to assist the commission in its efforts to minimise road crashes on the Abaji-Lokoja highway.
“ In view of the vital role played by the commission, Abaji Area Council has resolved to make its input in the safety of lives on the roads by assisting the commission,’’ he said.
He charged officers of the commission to be alive to their duties in reducing road accident.
In her response, Ajenge commended the chairman for his promise to assist the FRSC.
She said that the commission would work harder to reduce the rate of accidents on the roads. (NAN)
