Ikeja – A Magistrates’ Court in Ikeja, Lagos on Tuesday ordered a 14-year-old boy who pleaded guilty to molesting a five-year-old girl, be remanded at Oregun Correctional Home, Lagos.
Magistrate B.O. Osunsanmi who gave the order, said that the defendant should remain at the correctional home untill Feb. 12 for facts and sentencing.
The juvenile, who lives at Apapa, Lagos, pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement.
The Prosecution Counsel. ASP Ezekiel Ayorinde, told the court that the defendant committed the offence at his residence.
He said that the teenager sexually assaulted the girl.
The prosecution said the mother of the minor reported the case to the police.
