He said that with the arrival of the foreign security experts, the time has come for everyone to rise up against terrorism.
“It is time for all Nigerians to set aside our religious and political differences and team up with the government in the fight against terrorism.
“Activities of the insurgents must stop and this could only be achieved through our collective efforts.
“We all need to rise up to complement the efforts of the security agencies to apprehend those involved in the deadly acts.
“We must put the interest of the nation above all other considerations and fight our common enemy for peace, progress and political growth of our country,’’ he said.
Yabo said that adequate information from Nigerians to the security officers would enable them to come out with measures to tackle the insurgents.
Yabo also called for active participation of traditional and religious leaders in mobilising Nigerians to offer vital information about the bad eggs in the society.
“The royal fathers are in better position to fully sensitise all and sundry in the task ahead.
“The listening culture developed from the religious and traditional rulers should be used as a tool to reach to teeming Nigerians on the need to cooperate with the security agencies,” he added.(NAN)
