Seoul- North Korea accused US government on Sunday of unwarranted hostile actions and imposing new economic sanctions, after a cyber-attack on the computers of a Hollywood film studio.
US President Barack Obama announced the sanctions against three state organizations and 10 individuals as retaliation for an alleged cyber-attack at Sony Pictures Entertainment, which released a ridiculous film that Pyongyang found offensive.

North Korea denied any involvement in the hacking on some US computers; Security experts have also suggested that the cyber-attack was perpetrated by disgruntled current or former Sony employees.
“The policy persistently pursued by the US to stifle the DPRK (North Korea), groundlessly stirring up bad blood towards it, will only harden its will and resolution to defend the sovereignty of the country.

“The persistent unilateral action taken by White House to slap sanctions against the DPRK patently proves that it is still hostile,” state-run KCNA news agency quoted a Foreign Ministry spokesman.
Pyongyang also accused the US government of attacking its internet, which has suffered lengthy outages in the past week.(dpa/NAN)
