Akure- The Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) on Thursday in Akure announced the appointment of Coach Paul Ashworth as its new Technical Director.
This is contained in a statement released by the Special Adviser on Media to the agency, Wahab Bankole, who said the appointment would take immediate effect.
It noted that all clubs controlled by the agency would be under the new director’s control.

NAN reports that Ashworth was a former English footballer and an assistant manager, who until his latest appointment worked as Technical Director of the Kwara State Football Academy since May 2010.

He had also worked for Cambridge and Peterborough United, before moving on to Latvia, where he managed FK Ventspils, FK Riga and Skonto Riga as well as taking over at Russian side FC Rostov as sporting director.
Ashworth is expected to arrive in the country over the next few days to assume duties in preparation for the start of the new season. (NAN)
