Abuja- The Pre-season seminar and stakeholder’s consultative forum of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) to herald the 2014/2015 season would hold from Feb. 1 to Feb. 5.
This is contained in statement signed by the NBBF Secretary, Mr Patrick Okeke, on Sunday and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
According to the statement, the five-day seminar would involve State Basketball Association Chairmen and Secretaries, DSTV and Zenith League team’s officials and staff.

“The seminar will also involve National Division One and Two team officials and staff, Referees, Technical commissioners and Table Officials together with the Basketball Media,’’ the statement read.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the seminar/forum would hold at the National Institute for Sports (NIS), Package B of the National Stadium, Abuja
The statement said that the seminar and consultative forum was aimed at charting the course for the new basketball season in Nigeria.

“We will be discussing lessons from the last season with the way forward and gathering and adoption of new workable innovations for the 2014/2015 season,’’ it said.
NAN recalls that Kano Pillars Basketball Club was the winner of the 2013/2014 DSTV Men’s Basketball League, while First Bank Basketball Club was the winner of the Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League. (NAN)
