Abuja ( Sundiatapost) – The Coronavirus pandemic which took the world by storm has taken a new dimension as the number of affected cares worldwide skyrockets to a frightening figure of 105,621 cases, the World Health Organisation, according to the WHO Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Dashboard.
Since the virus first surfaced in the Chinese village of Wuhan it has spread like wildfire across the world. It has become an outbreak it was declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020 and on 11 February 2020, WHO announced a name for the new coronavirus disease making the WHO Director General, Tedros Adhanom Ghegbreyesus to pronounce it a world pandemic.
As at today (Thursday) the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed that Nigeria has recorded 13,873 cases with a total deaths of 382.
Worldwide, according to WHO Dashboard on COVID-19, the world has recorded 105,621 deaths, 7,273, 958 confirmed cases and 413,372 deaths.
