“This sports intervention programme since its inception in 2010 has continued to groom young talents in various sports event for the state.
“There are 15 sports events; the programme is commissioned to groom athletes the state can always rely on to replace ageing athletes.
“It is on record that in the recent past the state has done well at the NSF in all the events carried-out in the Adopt-A-Talent sports,” he said.
According to him, the 15 -17 years age bracket programme had contributed immensely to the growth of sports in the state.
Adu called on participants at the programme not to relent in their efforts to be the best in their various sports.
“They will be given preference during selection for NSF,’’ he said. (NAN)
